Marko foam is a long standing California company and we are advancing in our mission of providing an extensive blank catalogue to the water sports industry. We launched our full blank line in 2005 with the unique opportunity of approaching the shaping industry as an accomplished foam company with a fresh product line. Our company goal is to provide a versatile blank catalogue that consists of a variety of high quality, 100% recyclable materials in multiple blank sizes that will give the board manufacturer many options. Over the past few years we have introduced new viable materials into the surfboard manufacturing mix . Our long term plan is to slowly refocus the surfboard manufacturing process from the long standing health altering materials and methods of the past 45 years, to a new approach using cleaner, state of the art materials that are available today. This new approach would offer a solid green factor to the industry coupled with improved performance & durability of every EPS/ EPOXY board. Of course introducing any new process comes with its challenges and Marko believes that given the proper support and guidance, their customers could make the necessary changes and help modernize the surfboard manufacturing process. Marko’s unique approach coupled with decades of foam knowledge has helped us put together this versatile catalogue of core materials for all types of: surfboards, paddle boards, softboards, wakesurfs, kitesurfs, skimboards, foamies, bodyboards, rescue sleds, etc… The various materials offered in the Marko catalogue are all manufactured with our clean, water and steam, high pressure molding process that results in a tight, strong, durable core that stays lively long into the boards life and ultimately doesn’t need to end up in a landfill. Marko is reaching many industries with this technology and has a broad customer base climbing aboard the mission.
